New tank so many options.....

I just picked up a 98 litre (that's25 gallon to most of you) second hand tank & stand today in perfect condition for an awesome price. The question now is what to do with it? Divide 3 ways for my bettas ? Keep onelucky betta & a school of corys in it ? Or have communal tank with platies, corys, gouramis & guppies . Oh the decisions. What would you do if it were your tank?

I would get a giant betta and let him have it all to himself.

If it was my tank I would definitely do a tropical communal tank with a few schools of different types. I'm a big fan of tetras, I think they're hilarious.

Go for a community tank! Bettas are awesome but there are so many other types of fun fish out there as well. Cories are a good idea.

How does this sound:

1 x male blue ram
5 x corys
6 x guppies (would prefer all male but that is prob not feasible so 2 males & 4 females)
6 x platys (2 male & 4 female)

If that is overstocked i can reduce the numbers of each. I added the blue ram because i don't mind if he picks off some of the inevitable guppy fry and because they are so pretty

Platys and guppies prefer much harder water than rams and cories, although domestically bred cories can tolerate a wide range of hardness. Why not go for some tetras instead, which will enjoy the same conditions as the ram and cories?

I was going to say that I believe all livebearers can interbreed as well so you'd have to watch out for that too!

I'm lovin the ram, definitely a good idea. Make sure you've got plenty of hiding spots for him though, you could still do a pair though! They like to be with their own, otherwise they get a bit shy.

(Bomba, I just saw your sig and I love it, so true XD)
