Crowntails...Where is the love?

Hello, I was just wondering why people don't seem so like crowntails very much. I have a Delta and two Crowntails ( I am also considering buying two halfmoons). But, so far my favorite fish is the crowntail he is so cool when he swims and is really happy. Why do people like other fish like halfmoons so much more?

Thanks.

I think you probably hear less about them because they aren't as commonly available as veiltails, but they're definitely great fish! Hardier fish too, because their fins are less prone to shredding.

Guess it's a "fluffy fins" versus "spiky" things...then there are the plakats :)

I love crowntails!!! I have a vieltail, but would love to get a crowntail or a Plakat next. It will be a long while for sure. PetSmart and PetCo regularly carry crowntails...and some are just great quality! I have yet to see a Plakat...where would one find one? :)

Crowntails are beautiful.

I had one, Acacius, that recently passed away from unknown causes. :(

I think that the reason they aren't as popular because, as beautiful as they are, I don't think they're quite as hardy.
