Post Please help me decide

Hi all!!
I have been thinking about breeding/selling fish in the future, but I need help.
I have this poll to help me get an idea of what would be a good tail type/color of Betta to breed.

Please submit an HONEST answer in the above poll to help me decide which tail types/colors would be most in demand.

If you have another tail/color combination in mind, please post your preference.

Also, feel free to post any helpful sites, tips, etc. It would be greatly appreciated!!! ^__^
Thank you. :D

I chose giant, because I am not a heavy fan of crowntails nor halfmoons (though since in my area they are of great demand therefore I would still breed them if given quality breeders...) and giants pose a great challenge, since you will get nromal and half giants from them... But it is worth trying. Or, even bringing a giant into another line (hm, pk, ct, etc) if they are young and small enough to breed with a normal... Which in turn will give them a larger body, and stronger rays even.

I voted giants - I can't choose more than one. But I would also work with pure milk white as they are hard to keep clean. And giants because you get all sizes with them and as Sena mentioned, you can create new form and color to them.

Instead of black orchids, why not work with super blacks. I believe they too are in demand.

I voted giants. If you were able to get some real, 4inch bodied giants, everyone would want them. You wouldn't be able to breed them fast enough...Heck, I would buy one!

Okay thanks everyone! What color of Giants do you think would be best?
I will look in to it for the future, after I learn more about them. :D

I personally chose white hm because it is hard to find well finned quality clean white hm plus when selling the not show quality fish, people would love them as they are very pretty and bring in the WOW factor. Just my two cents lol.

Because giants are out of the norm in most places almost any color would be great. However, getting the harder colors in such as certain shades of orange and yellow, white, black, purple, light-medium blue, etc would be of interest.

I might try this in the future...... The main problem would be finding someone that sells breeder giants. Does anyone know anyone who does?

Aquabid... Definatly focus on interesting colors instead of the (all too common in giants) wild colors.

I didn't vote because frankly I can't decide what you want... What attracts you? If you are breeding giants just because lots of people voted for them on a thread you may not be as interested or motivated in the hobby en if you were breeding a fish that you are in love with.
