New Betta Fish won't Eat

Hey Everyone,

I noticed someone asked about their betta not eating, and I was interested in seeing the answer she got, because my little betta hasn't eaten for about 5 days, but she hasn't replied yet! I bought him Monday night, and he ate on Tuesday, probably a little too much (about 5 pellets) and I haven't been able to get him to eat since. I think it may be the food, but I'm not sure. I bought him Betta Bites, and when I first fed him, he grabbed it in his mouth and he didn't seem to be able to hold on to them, so I broke them in half and he ate them happily. He's in a one gallon tank all by himself. He has a little castle he loves to swim in with caves, and a fake plant to swim around. I changed the water on Thursday. He seems happy and in good health. I think I may just need to get a different type of food.

Any suggestions?

I would try a different brand of pellets. Bettas can be picky eaters. Or, you could just keep offering him the food you have and if he gets hungry enough, he may eat it.
