Test Kit Question

Alright, well I'm thinking I'm gonna get an Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Freshwater Master Test Kit so that I can cycle and get my tank ready for my fishies. It's pretty well rated and seems to be what I need, but it's around 30 dollars. That's a tad bit over my spending limit, but if this test kit worth it, I'll get it. Anybody use this? Would you recommend it? Is there something that works just as well that's cheaper that I should consider?

Here's a link to it: http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=2754034

Thanks!

I would buy one! Well worth it!
You can find them on online stores for cheaper, Doctors Foster and Smith, That Fish Place, to name a couple.
Petsmart will match prices if you bring in a catalog or sales add from another store.

That is a very good test kit. It's much more accurate than the strips. You can actually get it from Walmart way cheaper! Here's a link: Walmart.com: Freshwater Master Test Kit: Fish . It looks a little different on the screen but it is the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Master Test Kit.

I certainly understand having a spending limit! lol Me too. Another member said that they got an API master test kit from Amazon.com. I forgot to write down the price but it was definitely less than $30. It may have been 20-25. You could check it out anyway.

Smile Thanks

Thanks for the recommendation! Yeah, I've decided I'm probably going to get the master test kit from That Fish Place, along with Seachem's "Ammonia Alert" http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/198605/product.web

Thanks again!

I've heard that those strip things aren't accurate. When the time comes, I'll get the API master test kit.
