Exclamation Overdose!

I accidentally put too much Melafix in my betta's tank (=_= I'm such an idiot). I noticed that he seemed to start 'choking' after a few seconds and I put him into a quarantine tank.

Is he going to be ok??? I heard that if you overdose, your betta might die.

Thanks,

LakeSpark.

Do a water change based on the amount you overdosed to bring the dose back to where it should be.

Also, I probably wouldn't use any "Fix" medications in the future, even BettaFix can be a bit controversial because they all contain Tea Tree Oil which can coat the fish's labyrinth organ, thus "choking" them.

But he should be alright with all new water, just make sure to keep his temperature around the same and to acclimate him properly!

I also did this with one of my Boy's and moved him to completely fresh water and he perked up after a few days when it was out of his system, so don't worry he should be able to perk up after a while and fresh water :D

^_^ So, using StressCoat would be better than Melafix?

My male recently had an misunderstanding with one of my females. So I put him back into his old tank, and found that some of his fins were ripped off.

Oh okay, I just want to make sure, hope you don't take offense, but are you ready for breeding and all that?
