HELP!!!! At what point do you just give up?

I have a betta with velvet that I have been treating aggressively for about 10 days. Some days he looks much better and others he looks worse. His tank set-up 2.5 is perfect - heater/temp, no artificial lighting, mild filter, aquarisol treatment after bettafix and one other betta-specific treatment failed.

When should I expect to see measurable improvement? Any ideas??

The directions I saw for Aquarisol said to use 2 drops per gallon until illness is gone. So I don't know if that means to use it indefinitely or not. I guess you could try the Aquarisol a little bit longer. The directions also say to raise tank temp to 85 degrees, if possible.

Thanks, Drama! I need to find a more powerful heater, I think. Ugh, this is getting more and more expensive.

You're welcome. The directions I got from bettatalk.com also say that velvet is easier to kill if it isn't getting any light. Good luck.
