You have your fish in the same tank as your friend's? I'd separate them immediately before they kill each other.

I know you think it makes for a cool picture but these are live animals with known habits...not a game.

Well, putting your fish in a new tank is stressful, and letting them together is just asking for an accident. If you don't want your fish to get hurt, then I wouldn't do this, it is considered irresponsible.

May I instead suggest that the next time you want a picture, you just push the two tanks together so that they can see eachother through the glass. They will still flare at eachother and make a great picture, but no one will get hurt.

It's irresponsible under any circumstances to put two male bettas together.

I agree that it is irresponsible to put males together.

My friend recently went to a pet store and found that the teenage girls who worked there had two males in a tank and were amusing themselves by watching the boys fight. My friend was upset and told the girls off and then contacted their manager.

I did hear somewhere that there is a youtube channel that has "fish fighting" where people can make bets on who will live. I was very upset over hearing this. I don't know if it's true or not though.
