The Bloat

Greetings Beta keepers:

I really need to have someone who is experienced with betas that get a bloated abdomen.I am not talking about dropsy or swim bladder , i am talking about bloat. Can anyone tell me what meds to use that will cure it and
what food would prevent it and how it keeps happening when i keep every thing on target with the water. I have lost a few good fish do to this bloat and it upsets me so.

blessings Drazen.

Try fasting for a couple days and the feeding a small amount of defrosted daphnia...don't use freeze-dried unless it's been rehydrated first in dechlorinated or tank water and feed it from a clean eyedropper to reduce waste. No pellets while giving the daphnia either and just do that once or twice.

the bloat getting better

I found out that those tiny little pellets were clogging up his digestive system, so i fasted him for three days and then gave him small amounts of flakes and he is much less bloaty now. I dont know if it will go away for good so i will watch and see how it goes day by day. So far so good.javascript:emoticon(':javascript:emoticon(':D ')
