A calm tank with warm clean water and no flow is all some near-death bettas need. Some rest and TLC! I restored a similarly ill-healthed betta in a similar way you are, and he perked up in a few days. Good luck and thanks for giving him a chance!

Just a question about the continuing treatment...

This is a picture I managed to get of his side and the belly is still pretty swollen. he is diving and swimming perfectly and is pretty perky. I have spotted waste while siphoning /cleaning and I have begun feeding him and he is absolutely ravenous!

I am just a little concerned that despite the improvement the belly has stuck around. Is there something more I should be concerned about or is the treatment just going to take a little longer?

What does the waste look like? Long, stringy, broken up white and transparent?

The color of his food (light to mid brown) and pretty much of the size I have come to expect from his brothers.
I havent spotted any white or transparent waste.

Oh good! I was a little concerned since googling 'swollen betta' pretty much tells you to start digging the hole in the garden...
