Mysterious death - now what?

I came home today to find one of my 6 sorority girls dead for no reason. She had been acting fine yesterday. Her body looked normal, as in no white fungus or raised scales or big stomach, but her fins were shredded and she was missing an eye because the other girls were pecking at her body.

The only other thing is that she kind of had periodical buoyancy issues and I had to give her one more fast day than the rest of the girls. I also do believe that she was at the way bottom of the hierarchy.

My other 5 girls are acting completely normal. They look fine, I see nothing off about any of them at all, but I don't know what I should do now. I've removed the body from the tank and am about to do a large water change.

I just have no idea what caused this and am not sure if I should do anything other than a water change? I don't want to lose any other girls. :(

Can't help you but did want to say sorry you lost her. I think unexplained deaths are the hardest to deal with.

Again, so sorry.
