Get 2 bettas or 1???

So, I will have an empty 10 gal. tank soon and want to get another betta. I have been debating between dividing the tank and getting 2, or leaving the entire tank for one. On one hand I would be able to give 2 bettas a nice 5 gal. home and save them from the pet store, or I could save one and give him a large 10 gal. home. So, I know that either way my bettas will have a good life, but I want to hear your opinions. Both my parents think that I should get 2 and divide the tank.

PS: This tank has a great amount of benificial bacteria and is already equipped with a good heater and a filter that does not create too much current-a perfect betta home.

So what do you think?

Hmm, for me that's a real hard one, and personally I would rather get one and let it have 10 gallons to itself. But to someone else, I would say get a divider... Just make sure u put a background on the divider so they cant see each other aye?

Yeah, I was planning on doing something to make the divider opaque. Do they sell ones like that?

I agree about getting two, as long as they can't see each other. If I could save every betta from spending a lifetime in a cup (provided they can have a 5G or better) I would do it. I say go for it as I know you'll provide them with a great home!

Where do you find a divider? I've looked for one myself and can't find them.

Bettas have goofy personalities, so I would just get one and then get him some non-betta tankmates just to see how he interacts with them. Maybe one male and 8 or so pygmy cories?
