Betta Fish

Hello there,
My co-worker has a betta fish for over a year now. The last day or two it has been looking like it is going to die. She says that the scales seem to be falling off. She is also spending alot of time at the bottom.

Please help

Hey there, welcome!!

I'm sorry to hear about the bettas bad condition but before we can give any advice on the matter, we really need more information. Could you tell us the tank size? Water parameters? Do you have a heater? Bettas are not cold water fish and need a steady temperature of 78 degrees. Was the tank cycled? How often are water changes preformed and how much water is changed each time?
