Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a custome made take or make a tank with the same dimentions and then add the dividers yourself?

I'm sure you could buy the tank without the dividers; however, not all of us have the tools, the patience or the wherewithal to DYI...certainly not I.

That's a really neat set-up. Those dividers look so solid, though, that I would be afraid heat and filtration would not work well through the tank as a whole. How does he deal with that?

They have holes. If you mouse over the photo you can see them. David is really good about answering questions sof I'm sure he'd get back with you.

Yeah, I could see they had holes; I just have doubts that the filtration and heat would work that well all the way through each set. I would imagine that the heat at the end is significantly different than that at the middle (or wherever else the heater was located).

Wonder if running a heater each in the two end compartments and then running some sort of DIY spraybar over each compartment would help distribute the heat more evenly. Or you could remove one of the centre dividers to make a big middle section to place the heater and filter in there.

It's a nice shape though. And I like the fact the dividers are removable.

I do too! I like a lot about it. I would be sure to test it out when I got it, though.

If you put the heater in the middle, for instance, I would keep a thermometer both there and one at either end, and see how the temp is doing. That should give you an idea on filtration, too.

The idea about leaving a blank compartment for the heater and filter is a great one! No betta is going to like being stuck in a little stall with a filter big enough for that tank.
