mark on head

Hi,

I noticed my betta has a dot on his head. I brought him to the pet store and they said it was a cut and to use bettafix. I bought the medicine but he didn't like being in it. It now looks like he has another mark. He's eating and swimming ok. He does have a plant he likes which is a little pokey. Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't use Bettafix. Use API Stress Coat +. Bettafix has tea tree oil in it, which can be harmful to his labyrinth organ. Stress Coat just has aloe in it, which helps with healing. My betta got sucked up into my siphon tube by accident, and scraped his head, and Stress Coat helped him heal up nicely. It looks like he just scraped his head and should be fine.

You should also try to figure out what he scraped himself on try to eliminate that danger.

Definitely, good idea. It's either the plant I'm trying to soften the flow with or the river rocks he used to dig in. It looks like there's another mark on his head now. Will buy what you recommend tomorrow

The lady at the pet store looked at him and said he cut his his head. Than last night I notice another mark so I really don't know what to make of it any more

I just noticed I have a bottle of nutrafin aqua plus. Will this do the same as API stress coat plus? Or is one better than the other?
