Marble too? I know how you feel; I recently got one not knowing that he had the gene (Petco fish) and the translucent areas on his tail are turning a burnt red like the scale spot on his head. I think before too long I'll have another red betta on my hands *sigh*

I love marbles, but it's sad seeing them change colors when you love their original colors

Lol I know, right? He's like a rainbow now, with a beautiful iridescence. I just don't want him to change. What was yours original coloration?

Ooooh pretty :) Vince actually looks very similar to the before pics. I'll have to upload some the next time I have him cupped - he absolutely hates the camera (little diva lol)

Lol, my Socrates is a definite marble, though I don't mind the colour he's changed to (he started out mostly white with blackish-blue splashes and a yellow head, and he's now almost completely dark blue with blackish fins that have splashes of red in them). He's a dragonscale on top of that though, so when the light hits him right he's absolutely dashing.

I'm just hoping the red stays accents and he doesn't turn completely red xD I love blue colouring.

I'm pretty sure my other boy, Alighieri, is marbled as well, but he hasn't changed much so I don't know if he actually will, or if I just haven't had him long enough. His starting colouration is a mix of light blues, white, and some pale purples and greens, so he's really pretty. My boyfriend actually picked him out and named him for me. He liked how chill and laid back he was at the store, and that has continued on xD The only issue I've had with Ali is he's just recently seemed to have started to fin nip, and it was just one instance. I'm hoping the new decorations I have coming in early this week - a gargoyle arch, old tome, and another gargoyle seeing he's named after Dante Alighieri, the author of Dante's Inferno - will put an end to that seeing I'm hoping he's just bored with his sunken car.
