Fuval U1 Underwater Filter

Does anyone have/use this filter? I've considered putting it into my 15 gallon as a backup filter (I know it can handle 15, I'm overstocking and trying to figure the best way to keep it clean, including higher water changes) and most of the reviews are good. 10 have 5 stars, 1 has 4 stars, 1 has 3, and one has 2. I trust the reviews, but I trust you guys on the forum more! Thanks! Feel free to post pics or lengthy stories. Or both.

I have this filter. I use it in my 16 gallon along with the U2, because I love lots of filtration. :p

I like the internal set-up: it's easy to maintain. I like that it is very quiet. I'm not a huge fan of the adjustable flow - it's not really that adjustable and can be quiet violent for a betta, and it's not that easy to baffle without damaging the impeller. I have found that sometimes the impeller just decides not to work properly and I have to poke it. However, mine is several years old and has been baffled incorrectly in the past. Overall, I've been very happy with it. :)
