New Tank Set up

I got jealous of my wife having a tank on her desk so we got the same tank (10g half-moon) for my desk.

Here's some pictures of the initial layout:

I haven't put anything living in it aside from the plants (all are living except for the blue one in the back.

I'm still deciding on what to actually put in there, I'm keeping my options open and doing a lot of research. :)

You should put a betta in it of course! :)
A red or orange one would really contrast with the color scheme of the tank, making it pop into focus.

Oh, a black dragon crowntail.
Very nice, also a bit pricey.
You probably wont find them in the stores, you'll have to check http://www.aquabid.com for them and have one shipped to you.

How I'm thinking of it, I paid $100 for the tank, another $100 for the decorations and stuff, another $50ish for the chems needed (shared between two tanks at least).

I shouldn't cheap out and only spend a couple bucks on the fish. :)

I saw that crowntail on reddit and I think I fell in love with it.

Yeah, they're really nice. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing a crowntail on aquabid. However there are other black dragons.

I've never imported a fish before. I think I'll try some of the specialty stores locally first, maybe there's something that'll catch my eyes.

It might also be wise for me to try with cheaper fish to start off with.

I've added a bubble wall to the back of the tank, and some bubbles coming out of the submarine. Tank has been running for a few days now and we transferred one of the snails from our overcrowded tank to this one.

If your going to do bettas, get rid of all the bubble stuff. Too much water movement.

Just wanted to update everyone.

Here is Bubbles: http://i.imgur.com/M4LQ1o0.jpg

He seems to be enjoying his new home.

The bubbles we have in the tank are very minor, there is no real current from them. However Bubbles seems to love them. He'll just position himself in a "bubble stream" and stay there for a while
