Hi! Welcome!

That's how my sisters are haha. They don't understand why I'm so interested in my fish! But this site is great. I've learned so much from it and I'm glad you've found it!

I set up a new 20 gallon tank Saturday according to instructions that came with it(Tetra's Aquarium Kit 20). Monday morning it turned cloudy. What do I do about it?

What kind of cloudy is it warblrwatchr? Is it white cloud or a green cloud?

Also, adorable User name! I assume it's bird watching? Warbler's to be exact?

Cute! I love warbler's! We don't have too many around here, mostly finches and woodpeckers but I love my birds of prey that we do have! Red-tailed Hawk is my fave (even though it ate some of my chickens >.>)(sorry thread is getting off topic!)

A white cloud is a bacteria bloom, it often happens when a tank is first starting up. If you do a series of small water changes a day, like 30% changes a day, it will help get rid of it but it will eventually go away on it's own

Thanks! I just got home from work and noticed its starting to clear up. Need a different thermometer; if the temp is okay Saturday I'll get a betta; if not then a better heater.

Awesome, sounds great! So 20 gallons all for a Betta or are you doing a community as well?

When I first set up my tank, it was white-ish and murky. After one water change, it was clear! Don't worry about it.

the cloud is gone; it made a scum which I've tried to skim off hoping the filter will finish the job
