Preparations!

Look at all the goodies I got in today! I swear, my RL friends are going to be so weirded out when I tell them I'm excited about getting in worm cultures....

And are IAL usually that beautiful? I am so surprised, since they're called "small."

Those cultures look pretty neatly packed.

I have all my cultures in my bedroom and my BBS also there bubbling away and I always get these weird looks from any non-fish people visiting.

Best food I found my grindals and white worms like is dried cat kibble. My worms go nuts for the Wellness brand food I use and if you feed them daily/every second day you can get really good numbers of worms for harvest.

Also, don't let either the white worms or grindal worms get too hot as their numbers will start to decline and sometimes (especially with white worms) the culture can crash.

I got them from FishGobble. He was great at advising me on what to get, and I'm anxious to see how they turn out!

It looks like you are definitely set for breeding with all your cultures now.

Yeah, I have a BBS hatchery too, though that's not in the pic. And I am trying to culture infusoria outside, but it isn't turning away from green yet. :-/

I just want to do it right and be prepared!

I get excited about cultures too, lol. Live foods are crucial for fry and beneficial for adults!
