Exclamation Females making bubble nests?

I need a question that needs answered. This guy on instagram is telling people that females cannot make bubble nests, but air bubbles and I told him they can make bubble nests. Now he's calling me an idiot basically but from what I've read on here, they can. Am I right or misinformed?

See, I've seen a lot of people say their females have done it.

I have heard of females making their own bubble nests and putting their own (unfertilized) eggs in them. Have never witnessed it though...

I have a wild betta female that makes her own bubblenest (quite good at it actually) and then steals fry/eggs from the male's nest and adds them to her own. She mimics the male exactly and it is really quite bizarre to see.

My female has. She makes small random ones throughout her tank when ever she gets eggy. Otherwise, she doesn't make them. I've actually watched her do it, so I know for a fact she makes them and they are not just air bubbles. She will release her eggs into her nests, then since there is no male with her, she eats the eggs, then destroys the nests.

I have a sorority of 7 girls in one tank and one morning I woke up to their tank filled with little spots of bubble nests along with my male betta having made a huge bubble nest of his own in his tank. This is how I knew they were ready to mate... this was two days ago and I now have newly hatched Fry. So yes.... females CAN blow bubble nests.
