I would like to get a 3 gallon tank ( http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hawkeye-3-...-Pets/13448744 ) but there aren't good reviews. I need something more like this because I have to put this tank in the bathroom in order to keep them separated. Also, I have cats.

I would really prefer if I could get the new tank from walmart, since I just got a giftcard to there, however if it is at petco that would be fine. The Petsmart is about a half hour away so I would prefer to avoid that.

Also I would really prefer if the price is under $30! Thanks!
where did you buy your bowl

Oh, and vikingchick, I couldn't sleep last night and something came to mind, as far as reassuring yourself that the 5g tank would work: get a pile of books (or whatever else you have handy) and weigh them till there's 50lbs or so and put them on the table where you want your tank. (Just use good body mechanics and don't lift them all at one, lol!) you could spread them out over the width of the tank, to mimick how the weight would be distributed too.
Ah ok. :) I think I am just going to grab another minibow 2.5 at this point. I can clear off my dresser top and use that as a spot for the new tank. :D Thank you very much though! :D I know this tank is good so I'm just going to be happy with this for the moment. :D

Thank you everyone for your help! I've gotten to learn a lot more about my Betta's! :D

Hey so I will be using the 10 gallon tank for my Betta girls. I just got a new male betta who will inherited the 2.5 gallon tank. He is currently in a 1 gallon bowl but since I've put him in there he hasn't been moving around. :/

Please give us some more details so we can help you brainstorm more. And keep us posted about how it all goes.
THIS - I use fake plants and an ornament so my male bettas' don't stress each other out by seeing each other all the time =D

I also found giving each of them a leaf hammock as far away from the divide as possible helps too because they are more inclined to hang out there.

Also when you feed them only feed them in the same spot of the tank furthest away from the divide. Positive reinforcement works with these intelligent little fish; "if you don't go near the divide food and a bed is available to you"

=D

Finally have somewhat decent pictures and I'm going to post them to my profile! :D I'm having the resize and trying to brighten them on my computer. :) Also I decided to divide my 10 g into 3 and will try to post a pic of it too.

And yeah I didn't buy enough tall plants since I wasn't sure for the new tanks. I will have to see how Troublemaker and Atlas do. :D

Also, I know I could have started a sorority but I don't want to deal with crazy bettas. Because Troublemaker would be bad! haha

Cloud Atlas. There was another female with red on her head too. So, I'm guessing it's just a normal marking but I want to make sure. :D He is a male.

(Also I'll probably just keep posting the pics here but there will be some on Album too.

No he isn't. He is already near the females and seems to just like to cause trouble but otherwise seems fine near them. It's until I get back from my trip and then if they are all still fine with each other then I'll just let them be in the same tank.

Do i understand you have your male wuth the females, or are they separated still? Sorry but you don't want to ever keep males and females together unless they are breeding....esp in something as small as a 10gal. Might be confused about your set ups; if I am I apologize.
