Which Pair?

So I have two males and one female. I'm aiming for some show quality fry and good coloring.
I have a few questions: is the marble gene dominant? and are split ventrals genetic?
I can't decide between the two males. I know the female's fin shape isn't the greatest, but I liked her color and was planning on breeding her with the blue and white one (Castiel).
I'll try to get better flaring pics of the marble.

Definatly male number two... The first guy has a spade tail and a short dorsal, among other faults. There is varying info on the marble gene... I have watched marble x solid spawns and the majority ended being marbles. Split ventrals are presumably genetic.

+1 Matt.
The blue one is the lesser of 2 evils
Both have thin bodies, split and too long ventrals and round tails.

Okay. I've read that ventrals in plakats should be 2/3rd the body length?

Blue and white male for sure.

I giggled a little about the first picture and was going to make a comment about how you should never breed an upside down fish....but then I thought that sounded silly, even if I was joking. xD

Honestly, almost any fish is breeding quality, as long as you're willing to put in the time and effort to squeeze out the quirks in whatever you're breeding to. Getting a great fish from the start just makes things easier. I only say "almost", because we obviously never want to breed sick fish, rosetails, or spoon headed fish (if we can help it).

I've also read that Asymmetrical Show Plakats can have a spade-shaped caudal and long ventrals that are preferably 2/3rd the body length?
I'm definitely going to breed the blue and white guy, my goal is to get blue and white bicolors. Hopefully he isn't a marble x]
