Each glofish up here are $10 each. I'm not paying that much for one fish ... *goes off and buys a $20 HM betta* What? xD

I would be all over glo barbs. Are you still not technically not allowed to breed and sell them because they are trade marked or something like that?
If we get glo bettas I will start throwing money at people......

Haha, not sure if they'll create glo-bettas. But, yes, each fish is copyrighted since Glofish is a brand name. They can breed, but you're not allowed to sell them without a license, and only fish stores have those.

Hmmm. That company is selling them in 2 and 5 gallon tanks. Aren't danios supposed to have 20?

Danios don't need 20s. That's new regurgitated crap information that isn't true. My danios were fine in my 10. I put them in my 20gL and they died off quickly for no reason. I can't keep a school in my 20 now. They were much happier in the 10.

No. Just like how goldfish shouldn't be into bowls. Tetra says that a 2.5 is perfect for a betta, but a 1g is "perfect" for a goldfish. Why? It's not right. Big companies need to stop advertising such bull crap. Zebra danios should have a 10g minimum. Maybe a 5g if you don't have a lot of them. It all depends.

They get along with bettas, but they might freak the betta out due to their activity level. My bettas [males and females] have always been fine with regular and long fin danios. Zebrea danios, not giant danios. lol Anyways, they should be fine together. Glofish will have the coloring, but they get brighter in poor water conditions [that's what they were genetically altered for, was to test the water] and they glow under a black light. Regular lights and LEDs should work fine to make the colors pop. But, don't make the water quality terrible just to have pretty fish. lol
