My poor Bill

Hello
Can someone pleeeeze give me some advice about my Blue Betta named Bill? I've had him for 1 year. Never a problem. I came to my mom's last week for the holiday and she bought me a new tank. It's plastice and is 2 gallons. He has a 1.5 gallon glass bowl with 2 live trees in it. So i put him in it and I knew immediately he didn't like it. But i waited a day to see if he would adjust. He didn't so yesterday I put him back in his old tank. He won't eat. Keeps spitting out his pellets. Will he come back to himself? I feel soooooo bad. Anyone with suggestions? Thanks

Was the water in both tanks from the same source? If not it could have shocked him.

Bill has recovered. He ate yesterday for the first time and has been moving quite a bit. Thanks for your replies.

I had the same problem with my betta when i relocated him from his first home, a small bowl, to his "luxury" mini condo, the 2.5 setup. He has the same issue for a few days, ate figity and had some color flushing. the temperatures and water sources were the same. As far as I can tell he was just not used to the new environment.
