Ok, thank you! I don't need extra CO2 or something for those plants?

So after looking around a bit I found a picture of what I want my tank to look like. Obviously I know it's not going to look that perfect, but it's worth a shot right?! Instead of the rocks I might have wood, or maybe nothing, not sure yet. I would rather get the plants growing good first.

Since I am a beginner, the plants probably should be easy to grow. I am not opposed to adding fertilizer or CO2 but I am thinking I should do that later on when I have more knowledge about this.

I like the plant in the back on the right, does anyone know something similar to this that would grow as full as that? I also like the reddish purple accents and the small plants covering the bottom.

If any of you have tips or where I should start, that would be great! Thanks in advance.

Red plants usually need high light or iron to achieve the red.

You can use Seachem Flourish Excel instead of CO2; well, not exactly "instead of."

And root tabs instead of adding liquid fertilizer.

What do you mean not exactly instead of?

Also, I have gravel. Should I switch to sand? I like the look of sand anyways.
