Hello every one pls add me as ur frnd..I have so many questions to ask

I bought a Betta which I thought was a crowntail and now it is a combtail.. lol I'm exited as comb tail are rare..

pls tell me is it a crowntail or combtail...?
i love his color that's why i bought him though he is sick. when i bought my betta he is suffering with ammonia poisoning.i really worked hard to cure him.now he is very fine.

It's possible he might be a combtail but he looks more like a regular VT with a few extended ray's, that's pretty common now a days. And he might be around 3 months old, maybe 4 since his tail isn't grown out at all yet.

Nope. To get 180 degree's he'd need at least two more ray's. He's got only two ray's which tells me that he's a VT, all VT's only have two rays in their Caudal fin (tail fin). CT's also generally have 2 rays but sometimes can get 4 rays if the lineage is good. But CT's have the 180 spread as well normally or somewhere around there, a Combtail would have to have a 160-180 degree spread to be considered one and then the ray's wouldn't be as deeply split as a regular CT.

Your boy looks like he might have bit his tail to make it seem like he's a CT but once it starts to grow out, he'll just be a VT. However VT's can have some really great spreads too, so just keep him in clean warm water and he'll heal up soon!
