Snowy- in this first pic you can see how it makes a lump along the side of her face and down her chin... it kinda looks like she had wisdom teeth removed><

Yeah that's a Chinese Algae eater although they don't eat algae all their lives, just as juveniles. And they get very big too and become carnivorous when maturity hits.

Both girls look very eggy, were they in sight of a male?

And for Snow's lump it looks light it might be a tumor but it's hard to tell in those angles and lights. If it is a tumor, there's nothing you can do about it except make her comfortable.

ugh... tumor :( and no they can't see any of my boys. TD is just a fatty she always has been. so suggestions on what to do with the algae eater? i don't really have another tank to put it in and i don't know any one who will take it...

Can you bring it back or donate it to an LFS/Petco/Petsmart? that would be the best way or see if anyone is in your area on here who'd be willing to take it

yeah those guys only do well with fast moving fish or a species only tank. If you know anbody with a large tank of quick fish like danios you could ask them to take it. Or like lilnaugrim said most petcos take donated fish. last time I was there someone donated a red piranha.
