pleas I need some help my betta has fin rot

I just noticed today that my betta has fin rot so I went to petsmart hoping to find something better than the betta fix to be honest that didn't work the last time I tried to fight the fin rot they highly recommended salt water I have some that came with a fish tank that I bought it came with accessories I got it at a garage sale it is top fin salt water conditioning it only says that to prevent stress and for water changes would that work for the treatment ?? Ir should I get the api one that actually says on the labels that helps fin rot so please if someone has had the same problem I need some advice my friend is not in town she would know what to do she gave the betta so for now I'm on my own

removed the carbon filter and turn off the filter and light so would that salt work

The stuff in the bottle may help most people use AQ salt. Post a picture of the fin rot so people can see how bad it may be. You will get better advice. If you look at the top of this section there's disease posting and it describes how to treat fin rot. Here it is:

A good way to treat fin rot is to provide lots of clean, warm water. I recommend doing lots of partial water changes.

Could you fill out the form below so we have more info? Answer what you can. Leave anything else blank.

Also, if you could post a photo, that would be very helpful to people.

Yes keep up the water changes with salt and see how he does. The fins don't look rotten to me though. White on the ends are usually regrowth. Do you have any earlier pictures to compare to? BTW I have a fish name Monet I got from Pecto that looks alot like him his fins are clear on the edges.
