New Betta Keeper!

Hello, I recently bought a Half Moon Betta named Moony. He's a lot more active and fun than I expected and I think I may be a lifelong Betta lover! He's just a dull grey color, but in the light he has streaks of blue, green and purple. When I bought him, I noticed his tail fin was horribly tattered. I don't know what the pet stores do to old Bettas, but I knew no one would take him. I brought him home and he's been a happy Betta ever since. His tank is 2.5 gallons and he has no other tank mates. I gave him a fake leaf to sit on and a little floating ball.

I am very tempted to get another Betta, but Moony's enough for me for now.

Wonderful! I'm glad to hear this and welcome to the forum! You'll learn lots of awesome stuff here and meet some great people as well ^_^

I'd love to see pictures of him for sure! Sounds so cute

If you want to heal up his tattered fins, good clean warm water is definitely a great starting point. Also Stress Coat water conditioner will help tons with that because it contains Aloe Vera in it

Welcome to the forum :)
I think u have a great time with ur new Betta.don't worry about the tattered fins they will grow again.ensure constant and steady temperature in the tank.good quality food will increase the activity levels of ur fish.use different kinds of food as it will get bored if only one food is used.
I would like to see some pics of ur fish.
