Question Glass votives as caves

I bought a couple of glass votives for my bettas to hide in but there are price tags on the bottom that are pretty well glued on. How can I get the paper off without using something that could potentially harm my fish?

Maybe soaking in water overnight would help.

OK, so I soaked the votives and the paper came off:) Now, do I need to cover the votive with gravel or will they use them even though they are clear?

Oh, good! Thanks, Veganchick for the advice of soaking them in water. I don't know why I didn't think of that:)
