Frankly I don't really like any of the methods mentioned to euthanize. I think I'd rather try to make my fish as comfortable as possible while he's dying rather than flush, boil, chop or slam againsyt a hard surface.I DO understand not wanting your pet to suffer though. The vodkha clove oil wouldn't be good for me either because I'd be afraid of doing it wrong and make my fish suffer even more. This is just my feelings on the subject.

No one is saying you are a fish hater. It sounds to me like you are compassionate and just don't want to see animals suffer.

y not just make it happy at the end of its life? Also i have had fish recover from like almost dead! they just need some live plants. Those seem to help alot!

He's doing it again tonight! I don't understand. I fasted him yesterday and he was fine. I haven't been able to get some daphnia yet. Should I fast him again? Maybe I should have done it for longr but I felt sorry for him. :(
He just swam to the bottom then popped right back up. Should I put him in a smaller container until he gets over this so it will be easier to get to the surface?

I may put him in a smaller container with a bare bottom to see if he's pooping.
