New halfmoon elephant ear male

Who is absolutely gorgeous; every time we get a new betta shipment at work I can't help but take a look... especially since one of my two-year-old males took sick and died this last week (RIP) and near the back of the halfmoons I saw the most beautiful boy... and then I saw his fins... and was shocked to see that he was an elephant/dumbo ear! Because we have never had them before that I've seen, it's not a kind that we get, and I just had to snatch him up. So here he is, Iced Steel. He's a very curious little boy, but just as often as he swims up to the front to say hi when I walk up, he will zoom off and hide behind the plant. Silly boy.

Two of my associates in the Pet Care department saw him sitting in the window of the managers office and said pretty much the same thing XD

Iced Steel is one good-looking guy! I have been keeping my eye out for an elephant ear at my store in hopes that one will slip through forever... no luck for me yet, you're extremely lucky, I think they're the cutest things.

I have found EE's to be a little shy. He's very handsome!

Yeah that's what I'm noticing myself - compared to all of the other boys that I've had in my tanks he's the shyest. Even after five days he still has a tendency to go and hide in his little hollow log more often than not when I go over to peek at him and see what he's doing unless there is the magical "food" involved. Perfectly healthy and active, just a shy little guy for now.

Though he does love to follow his shrimp around.
