Whats wrong with my betta?

I purchased a new betta a few weeks ago along with 3 mollies, a bala shark and a pleco everything was fine they were happy and then I was bought two more balas as a gift. Since then he has been acting strange, he hasnt been as active and just sits in one spot in the plants or on the deck of my ship ornament and today he has been on the floor of the tank. He is eating fine etc and swims up for his air but im worried something might be wrong? Does he feel insecure or stressed due to 3 balas in the tank? Or is the tank not setup for him to be secure and feel safe?

Heres a pic of him at the bottom..

That's 33 gallons..

I didn't think bettas and sharks got along? Have you noticed them chasing him at all?

As always, be sure to check your water parameters:
ammonia
nitrite
nitrates

bala sharks are ok with bettas though the red tail sharks can be aggressive and then the betta can also be due to the colour of the tail and bright colours of the betta to the shark and theyre both territorial fish
