My Crazy Marble

This guy never ceases to amaze me. He is on my desk at work and I never know what he is going to look like when I come in on Monday morning! So, this thread will be a mini-journal of some of his morphs. Enjoy! (and yes, it really is the same fish! )

This is when I first got him back in November 2012:

This was his first try at marbling:

He then went back to almost solid blue after about a week.

This is his second try - note he got two white patches this time!

He went back and forth like that for a while and then I came to work this morning to find this!

His blue is almost all black now, way more white and he added in some red for fun! I think he's trying to go patriotic for the 4th of July or something!
(Yes, I know he is a fat bastard, it's just the way he is. Even after a two day fast every weekend he still has a big belly.)

I know! It completely took me by surprise! I actually started a thread on it when he first started marbling because I thought he was sick or something - totally didn't expect him to be a marble.

He changes every day. How long does this last, or do they change their whole lives?

Thanks everyone! I didn't even realize until I looked at these pics together just how much his fins have grown, too! I'm glad I'm a little obsessed with taking pics of my fish! Haha
