Unhappy Easily bloated.

So my betta Chili Pepper has something wrong with his swim bladder. He is always bloated and floating on his side. Even if I don't feed him for days. I have tried frozen peas, which I boiled and gave him peices of the inside. But that just made him worse. It takes a very long time for it to go away, so when he is all better, I fed him one pellet, and the next day he was bloated. I don't know what to do! I mean, I can't starve him!!
Please help, what can I do to make him better? And keep it that way, atleast for a little while. He can barely swim around and I feel so bad for him.

My male suffers from chronic constipation and frequent swim bladder issues, I use epsom salts to help. It usually takes a few days for the salt to work it's magic (I dose the whole tank, and don't do the strenuous epsom salt baths because it stresses him out way too much), but once it does, he's able to swim and eat again normally. Small doses of epsom salts can be used indefinitely if your guy has chronic issues.
