Question Male vs female? How can I tell?

Hello,I'm having trouble distinguishing whether my baby Betta is male
or female? It's still a baby, somewhere around 3 months old,but it has quite long top and bottom fins(usually indicating a male),but then I seem to see a slight "egg spot"/white dot behind its two front fins(which I know indicates a female)I know that males are normally long finned more so than females, but the transparent tiny egg spot that's somewhat visible makes me believe its a girl?Am I right?
Thanks,
Betta Rescuer

Male bettas can have eggspots... You can sometimes tell by their body shape and their beard, but it's kind of hard to show without pictures.

That's a pic of a male so if yours looks like that you've got a male.

That picture is a male betta but you can't know for sure unless you can get a picture of the actual baby. You can try tinypic.com and just use copy and paste.
If you shine a light behind the baby and look at their other side you can try to see the ovaries. This is the best picture I could find showing what it looks like:
