Also used tropical red mico - nls betta formula - sera bettagran - JBL novo bel betta flakes

After 3 weeks of conditoning I put catappa and introduced my pair, it took two days for my couple to finish nest and start dancing :)

Have fun it's amazing process
Well done Iorek, well done.

Hmmm, two days to finish. I hope I can stay patient when the time comes since I'm so excited. Thanks for the tips. Maybe you can help keep me calm when I post impatiently waiting for my pair to finish, lol.

hehe :)

at my first trial I was so impatient and removed them after 18 - 19 hours :)

imho, if they don't fight, leave them alone, they will get used to them and do the job what they should do :)

I put my another pair into bucket and waiting for them to breed as well :)

That first day is going to be torture. I'm using my male that snuck into the sorority disguised as a female & another girl who is also in the sorority. So, they already know each other well. I had to take him out because he was getting ready to breed.

Iorek, that was definitely some rough love you girl got, lol. We'll see how my pair look after this. I'm breeding the feistiest girl I have.

On a side note, I just set up my hatchery for bbs. I'm going to try to hatch some eggs now to make sure I'm doing it right. I'll let you all know how it turns out in 24 hours. I started conditioning with foods last night.

After 3 times failure of hatchery, what I do is 500 - 600 ml water
9-12gr rock salt - one pinch bi carb soda

half tea spoon bbs eggs, aeration for 18 hours.

Tada - mine hatch in 18 hours :) but I have 32 C temp always :P

My little betta fries love those little bbs buggers :P

I dont use light because it's already hot in house :P
