Heater question.

This may be a dumb question but I ordered a Stealth visitherm heater for my "new" tank and I want to make sure I don't get electrocuted setting it up.lol Here comes the dumb part. Do I plug it in before putting it in the water or after?

Lol. You put it in the water unplugged. Leave it in for like 10-15 minutes to let it acclimate to the water temperature. Then plug it and turn it on. Otherwise if you just plug it in before acclimating it could shatter.

A lot of us don't read directions.lol Sometimes the directions on some things aren't very clear and just confuse us more.

I need to figure out how to clean my "new" tank. Kymmie said to use distilled vinegar and water but I need to know how much vinegar. I'm gonna wash it and rinse it good under the shower.

Hmm... i know it so many parts or something...like 3 parts water and 1 vinegar...i think thats right...so id say probably like 2/3 of the bottle or whatever you are using to mix this up in to be water and 1/3 vinegar. Thats what I did when i had to clean some tanks before my gerbils moved into it. All i can so though is smells very strong lol. If ya nose is clogged up now,it wont be afterwards. So i hope that helps...
