Bubble nest question

I recently got a little veil tale betta that I have dubbed Fernando (even though I mostly call him fatty for the way he eats and begs) and I was just wondering if the fact that his under-gravel filter bubbles at the top would affect whether or not he makes bubble nests? He definitely likes the filter, and pouts when its turned off, but will it prevent him from nesting?

I suppose it's academic since I'm upgrading him to a better tank soon, but i was just curious.

If there's a calm corner/area he should find that area to make a nest. If the entire top is agitated, that's a different story and he may not be able to nest.

Ok then he has room, thanks. I'm getting him a new tank soon anyways, which will have a different filter and be bigger. Hopefully he doesn't get mad as he really likes that bubbler.
