My dog made me do it.

My dog almost ate all of his dog food which forced me to go to PetCo. I walked by the bettas and I couldn't resist this beautifule Elephant Ear betta. So I bought him. My dog made me do it. That's what I told my husband and that's what I'm sticking with.

Here's the culprit...lol.

:o Is he an English Bulldog/Boxer mix? He's certainly got the body for a bull and his face and general skull structure looks like a Boxer!

He is such a handsome boy! Lol, I am always coming up with excuses to go to the LFS to take a look at the bettas.

Oh My bf wanted an olde eng. dogge! How are they for brachesephelic? (wow, whatever the spelling) We have our hearts on A Dogue du Bordeaux now instead.

Each dog is different. If you get one with a really short snout (less than 3 inches from nose to between the eyes), then you may have breathing problems especially when they get older. That's when full grown. So you will have to wait to see what there snout measurements really are. Usually, not all the time, if you see a pup with one big wrinkle on the nose, that's a big giveaway that that dog may have breathing problems later on. But so far Zorro doesn't have any problems other than snoring like a grown man.

Aw that's a good little tidbit I'll keep in mind. We'll be adopting an adult hopfully (my finges are crossed on an adult anyway. I have no patience for puppies) Thanks! Zorro is amazing.

Thanks Laki. You won't be disappointed. This dog had made me laugh much more than my other dogs. Only 2 warnings for you:

1) They are very strong. So if the one your adopting isn't properly leashed trained, I would suggest you hire a professional so they can show you the right way in leash training. We did that with Zorro.

2) They are ferocious chewers. Please invest in getting a NylaBone just in case your new dog has that tendency. And don't be shocked if you have to buy one every 3 months.

Congrats on your new adoption!!!

Soon I will post Zorro's story with us.
