Will anachris trimmings form roots if planted?

I have a moderately large anachris plant in my 10-gallon. It's getting pretty large - one frond is reaching almost halfway across the aquarium. Can I trim it back and plant the trimming? Will it become a new plant?

I break mine in to pieces all the time. I usually try and break it at a place where a branch is growing off the main piece, but to be honest anacharis is a tough little plant and can handle a little 'remodeling.' It should grow just fine.
