Unhappy RIP Draco

Last night I had to euthanize my betta boy Draco. He had developed what I found out was a tumor on his side and couldn't recover. He had stopped eating or swimming and had taken to curling up in his cave.

Last night I found him laying at the bottom of his tank on his side hardly able to breath. I just couldn't let him go on like that, especially knowing that he couldn't get better.

Rest in peace my little betta boy. You were a great fish and I will miss you.

Sorry to here about the loss of your Draco. My daughter's betta has drospy and it is in the final stage of it's illness. I hate having to watch my daughter wait and wait for him to get better, when I know he isn't going to. How do you euthanize a fish?

There is a sticky here in the betta section of the forum. It tells how to properly euthanise bettas. Hope this helps. I tried to make a link and it didn't work for some reason. Its listed under Health Issues for Bettas.

R.I.P Draco... may he live happily and cordially with my Gorgeous... R.I.P Gorgeous :( I wish I read this thread earlier... then I wouldn't have to see my Gorgeous suffer the way he did right before he died... he was like hypervenilating... I hate dropsy!!!
