Red face I just bought another set up

Which mean I can get a another betta right?!

I had $15 in rewards from Petco that were about to expire and a bunch of extra gravel so I got the 3.something gallon Critter Keeper some silk plants a fake floating duckweed from the reptile section and a heater since I have everything else and it came out to $28 and change with shipping.

There's a super pretty sapphire blue butterfly HM Plakat with a white face at our petco who is in a bowl on the big desk thing they have for the fish area so no one thinks he's for sale and if he's still here in 3-5 days when the stuff gets here I'm going to get him but if he's gone what should I do?

Get a different male from either Petco or Petsmart or take a gamble and get a baby betta?

Hmm, I'd get him now actually. A couple days in the cup that he's in won't really change him lol. He'd been in the same condition as he would in that store.

Buuuut if you wanna wait then... Baby Betta!!

Would they put him back in a cup or a bag? I don't have my extra cups here and I would be afraid I would kill him if I didn't get enough air in his bag.

I would just ask them to put him in a cup for you. Pet stores will work with you (usually) if you're a good customer. I accidentally dropped the cup I used for my betta when traveling (thankfully he was not in there at the time). My local PetSmart gave me another one for him.

Either choice you make, post pictures!!

you can use a Tupperware container that's tall enough and wide enough with a lid just have the water a little below the lid and poke some holes in the lid not big enough fo him to jump out of

My Dad doesn't approve of fish in his tupperware lol
A lot of my fish stuff is still on the way here. I packed Stress Coat+ and the food in my checked bag because I knew I was starting a new tank here. It should be back by the time we get the stuff I don't trust to the movers like my fish and their tanks. My Mom is coming over to feed the fish in the 50 gallon and my daughters guppies.
