hehe..how many females are supposed to be together to be happy... plus it has to be heavily planted i think..hmmm...lol! ah one day...
oh i looked on petcos site. http://www.petco.com/product/12031/A...-With-Lid.aspx these the ones i saw there. the medium is a 3 gallon and the large is 5. Not bad! Cheaper in store too. I cant find any dimensions on the one i have..guess penn plax dont want ya to know or something...lol oh oh and i liked the lid. its a flip lid! not the kritter keeper kind that you have to fight with to get off....i shouldve gotten the big one...waaah..

I thhink 4-6 females in a 10 gallon minimum, heavily plated and caves to hide in. Yeah, maybe I'll get a penn plax for the next fish I get. lol

There ya go! Now im comparing Toms and the one at petco...then the penn plax...enough to drive myself crazy! I like the curvy though fits better on my counter than the square ones...

I may look into a curvy too. I like the way they look. They're nicer than the critter keepers. Are those the ones you can get lights for?

They make em for all the critter keeper type cages. It just sits on top where the clear door is. But im pretty sure its incadescent or however ya spell it. So it heats it up. Wonder if you could get a flourescent bulb for it....hmm...i still looking at all these tanks..really wish i could find dimensions on the one i got and the bigger one..stupid penn plax lol...i really like the petco one though..that flip top was awesome...may have to check out my petcos..there are like 3...well gotta drive a bit to the other two but one is in the town i work...i go there first haha..and maybe take a ruler to the lfs see how big the large is...i think they had more of the mediums so i could compare...but i really liek the flip lids...

I like the idea of having the light.Would it really make a big difference which bulb you go with?

well the incadescent heats up the water...so if you already have a heater on it,it could get too hot for them...thats why i said flourscent that wont heat the water at all...
