Yesterday I noticed my Betta fish twitch his head but I thought nothing of it since he only did it once. just now after his night feeding he twitched his head about three times like he was spazzing and it concerned me. is it something I should be worried about? or is it normal? or could it be a gill parasite?
his gills are a light red. nothing that I can see in his gills. his breathing doesn't look heavy. he swims, eats, does his usual. his poop is normal. he just twitches his head and then goes on with his usual business.
and he flared his gills today a few hours ago for the first time that I've seen since I've had him and he flares at his reflection periodically. He seems healthy but I want to make sure its not the beginnings of something serious
its the first time I've seen it so I wanted to make sure of what it could be...
