It might just be his iridescence, can you get a close up picture for me?

Many Betta's have two "stripes" of scales on their head, one is just before the gills, it's right on the plate covering and another where the plate goes out when he flares.

Here is one of my girls but you see she's got two red stripes on her face? Those get even more red when she's ticked off at someone but they are very normal and it depends on the Betta's color as to what those stripes will be.

Here's my boy Remmy who has blue stripes, although they aren't very bright since he wasn't mad ahah

So does it look like that sort of? Just golden in color?

Okay! Sorry, I've been super busy today >.<

He looks alright, no gold dust to make me think Velvet. He is very skinny though, can you feed him a little more? Were you getting the Omega One? Sorry, hard to keep up with all the threads, I apologize.

So to help with that fin rot you can start using 1 teaspoon per gallon of Aquarium salt. This will start healing the fin rot and hopefully start helping him feel a little better. So if you have 7 gallons in there (since you took out three) then you'll use 7 teaspoons of salt. Make sure you dissolve it first, when salt dissolves it actually releases and makes heat which can burn your boy. So take a cup, scoop out some water and you'll probably have to dissolve 2-3 teaspoons at once instead of all 7 and then pour in 1-2 Tablespoons every 10 minutes or so so that he doesn't get overwhelmed with the new salt. Okay?

So it would be good if you did a small water change every day, like take out two gallons or so and then replace it with 2 teaspoons of salt if you take out 2. Does that makes sense?

Kind of bloated? That doesn't look bloated at all to me. If you've got pellets then feed that, don't feed bloodworms unless their the frozen type.
