Bettas with freshwater puffers

I saw some really cute puffers at Walmart. I've read some reviews by other betta owners on the planted tank that say they work fine with bettas and they have found them to be docile and curious fish who do not bother their betta tank companions. Does anyone have experience keeping these fish?

Freshwater puffers are aggressive and can be nippy.
I wouldnt recommend it.

If they're at Walmart, I'm willing to bet that they're greenspot puffers, which are actually brackish to full salt as they age.

DWARF or PEA puffers are true freshwater puffers, but all puffers are known as fin nippers.

I don't have any experience with them, but I've been doing tons and tons and TONS of research on them because I've been giving heavy consideration into getting one. Form what I've read, pea puffers can be aggressive, territorial, and as the two before me have mentioned, fin nippers. I wouldn't risk it.
