My name is Angel, I just got a new Betta, a crowntail named Sobek (yes, named after the egyptian crocodile god). I had a few in the past, but not for years, so I hope I'm doing an okay job :) The ones I had when I was little lived for years, and I missed having a fish around.
This is his enclosure:
It's a 5 gallon, it doesn't have a heater at the moment because I'm waiting for it to come in the mail, but the temperature in his tank has been a consistent 79 since I got him. (He is right next to the reptile room, which is always about 85)
Here is a better picture of Sobek:
I have been feeding him 2 pellets in the morning and 2 at night, and I got New life Spectrum betta formula food because the girl at the pet store said it was the best they had.
I also wasn't sure if he needed a filter, one came with the tank, but I plan on changing the water weekly, and I would rather not have an extra thing plugged in if I don't have to.
Any advise would be much appreciated :)
