Unhappy constipated

Hi all. I think Morado was/is a bit constipated. Remember that swelling around his belly? Some of yas said it was coloring, but it seemed to grow...so i thought that cant be coloring! He was still eating, but im pretty sure he wasnt going potty. Last time i could see his potty it was stringy. Not sure what regular betta potty looks like....so ive been fasting him for a few days now, seems to be getting his color back and the swelling in his tummy is going down. He never had problems swimming though, like with sbd. So i think i caught it in time. I do have daphnia, how often should i give him that? Today is the 3rd day of his fast, should i try some today? he does look better and is flaring now...hasnt done that since I got him....thanks!!

Since you fasted him already for 3 days, I'd go ahead and start feeding him the daphnia. I think I fed Merlot daphnia for about 3 or 4 days.Their poop is supposed to be brownish.

so im not sure if its helping or not...or maybe hes not even constipated? i dunno..he still has a whitish belly and some whitish areas on his face/gills. it doesnt look as bad i think....you can see the scales are pushed away where the whitish area is on his belly...other than that he is acting normal..i did a wc (50%) just now and added 1 teaspoon of aquarium salt to it (to the bucket with fresh water not directly to his tank) see if that helps any. i do still have those meds i bought, but gonna try the fasting/daphnia/salt thing for now.

You could feed them a splice of a pea, make sure its not frozen still. i think it's to help flush their system so they don't get constipated.

No peas. Ever. They are carnivoires and a pea can completely ruin their digestive system if eaten.
